Location
:
Arizona is preferred but it can be from anywhere in the US (Remote but travelling onsite 1 month).
Lead the performance engineering function for Oracle Fusion implementations and modernizations. Serve as the single point of accountability for performance strategy, SaaS-provider engagement, governance, execution oversight, and go‑live readiness. Partner directly with Oracle (and other SaaS vendors) to evaluate published benchmarks, negotiate performance commitments, and validate that contracted SLAs translate into measurable business outcomes for the client.
Key Responsibilities- Lead performance consulting and strategy engagements — define SLAs, NFRs, and the end‑to‑end performance testing approach for Oracle Fusion (ERP, HCM, SCM, EPM, CX) and surrounding integration landscape
- Engage directly with Oracle and adjacent SaaS providers to evaluate published performance benchmarks, interpret tenancy and sizing models, negotiate performance commitments in MSAs/SOWs, and validate vendor‑claimed throughput against client‑specific workload profiles
- Own performance planning, governance frameworks, and cross‑team alignment across business, application, infrastructure, integration (OIC/OSB), and SaaS vendor teams
- Oversee test execution, defect triage with Oracle Support (My Oracle Support SR lifecycle), root‑cause analysis, and KPI adherence through all test phases
- Drive executive reporting cadence, risk‑ranked status communication, and Go/No‑Go readiness sign‑off — including escalation paths into Oracle CSM / TAM channels when SaaS‑side issues block program milestones
- 12+ years in performance engineering with at least 4 years leading performance for Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP, HCM, SCM, or EPM) or comparable enterprise SaaS programs — including at least one full‑cycle implementation through cutover and hypercare
- Demonstrated experience working directly with Oracle as a SaaS provider — interpreting Oracle's published benchmarks and capacity guidance, managing performance‑related Service Requests through My Oracle Support, engaging Oracle TAMs/CSMs on escalations, and validating quarterly‑update regression impact against client NFRs
- Deep expertise across the Fusion‑relevant toolchain — JMeter, Load Runner for load generation;
Oracle APM, Dynatrace, App Dynamics, or New Relic for observability; familiarity with Oracle's own diagnostic tooling (Activity Reports, OTBI usage analysis, BICC extract performance, ESS job monitoring) - Proven ability to define and defend NFRs against SaaS constraints — translating business KPIs into measurable acceptance criteria within the boundaries of Oracle's multi‑tenant architecture; building Go/No‑Go evidence packs; presenting risk‑ranked recommendations to CIO/CTO‑level audiences and to Oracle account executives
- Hands‑on familiarity with Oracle Fusion module‑specific performance patterns — Order Management high‑volume processing, Inventory transaction throughput, BI Publisher/OTBI tuning, BICC incremental extracts, ESS scheduler contention, and OIC integration latency under load
- Industry depth in Utilities (including Oracle Energy & Water — CCS, MDM, NMS), BFSI, Healthcare, or Manufacturing — with familiarity in regulatory‑driven NFRs (PUC, SOX, HIPAA, PCI) and how they map to Oracle Fusion's compliance posture
- Quarterly‑update regression discipline — experience running performance regression cycles aligned to Oracle's quarterly release cadence (e.g., 24A/B/C/D), and managing opt‑in feature impact analysis
- Chaos engineering, SRE, and CI/CD performance integration — Gremlin or Chaos Monkey; SLI/SLO definition and error‑budget governance; embedding performance gates into Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, or Git Hub Actions for hybrid Fusion + custom‑extension delivery
