- Drive overall program efficiency and effectiveness and implement techniques and tools supporting data management efforts
- Support information management functions including metadata management, data quality, retention management, and data security
- Document data sources and facilitate Authoritative Data Source certification
- Manage metadata and data lineage within the Enterprise Data Repository
- Ensure data quality, monitor SLAs and data quality metrics, and oversee timely remediation
- Monitor significant changes and ensure timely re-certification
- Assist the IMA Director in integrating information management practices into business and technology processes
- Identify and influence process improvement opportunities across IMA responsibilities and data spokes
- Lead discussions with cross-functional teams on complex problems
- Align best practices and tools with business needs to improve program efficiency and effectiveness
- Influence prioritization of work based on criticality and risk
- Maintain and validate Information Asset Inventories
- Champion delivery of information according to Information Governance standards and data management practices
- Lead integration of Information Management practices into existing and emerging technology processes
- Lead data lineage collection and stitching for complete end-to-end data flow of critical data
- Lead identification and resolution of complex data quality concerns
- Design data quality rules, thresholds, and standard quality metrics for critical data elements
- Develop data quality process enhancements and plans, and oversee implementation of data quality controls
- Define and oversee high-risk data quality corrective action plans
- Oversee compliance assessments and document failures
- Lead Data initiatives, conduct root cause analysis, and identify improvement areas
- Develop Master and Reference Data processes aligned with Enterprise Policies and Standards
- Ensure quality and maintenance of master and reference data
- Identify and elevate items that may pose corporate risk
- Partner with IT and Information Management resources to define and implement complex Access Management strategies
- Lead Privacy initiatives through sensitive-data classification and analysis
- Ensure compliance and remediation of sensitive data
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled
- Bachelor's degree in a business or science field; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience, plus 8+ years of experience in information management, a business application function, or data delivery
- Alternatively, an advanced degree in a Business or Science discipline with 6 years of experience in data and analytics, technical, or business-relevant functions
- Demonstrated expertise developing and implementing Information Management strategies or processes in complex situations
- Proven experience leading projects or programs applying data management practices and tools to address data management risks during the data lifecycle
- Advanced SQL knowledge, including SQL-based languages
- Ability to lead analysis and resolution of problems and issues and escalated appropriately
- Experience synthesizing information, data, and research to recommend initiatives meeting business goals
- Experience leading project or support teams managing data
- Experience working in Agile Methodology
- Expert communication and presentation skills, including presenting complex technical details to all levels of management
- Indirect leadership experience
- Information management expertise, including coaching and mentoring others
- Financial services, insurance, banking, or other highly regulated industry experience preferred
- CDMP certification preferred
- US military experience through military service or military spouse/domestic partner preferred
- Must not require visa sponsorship or immigration support now or in the future, including H-1B, TN, or STEM OPT Training Plans
Demonstrates expertise in Information Management strategies, data quality processes, and compliance within highly regulated industries. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, implement data management practices, and ensure data integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
