Role Description The Property and Casualty Insurance Sales Agent is a full-time, hybrid role based in Gilbert, AZ with ability to go fully remote after training.
The agent will consult with prospective and existing clients to assess their insurance needs, present appropriate auto, home, and commercial insurance options, and explain coverage details in clearly to customers.
Day-to-day responsibilities include generating and qualifying leads, preparing quotes, processing new policies and renewals, and managing policy changes and building relationships.
The agent will handle client inquiries related to billing, claims guidance, and coverage questions, ensuring a responsive and supportive experience.
This role also involves maintaining accurate records in agency systems, following up on opportunities, and collaborating with team members and carrier representatives to meet sales and service goals.
Qualifications
- Property and Casualty insurance knowledge, including personal and commercial lines, with the ability to interpret coverage and policy terms.
- Strong sales, prospecting, and negotiation skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets in a client-facing environment.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills to support diverse clients in both routine and complex situations.
- Solid organizational, time management, and follow-up abilities, including accurate documentation and use of agency management or CRM systems.
- Arizona Property and Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe).
- Comfort working with multiple insurance carriers, rating tools, and online quoting platforms.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and problem-solving skills when assisting clients with claims and coverage questions.
- Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or related fields is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required, post-secondary education is a plus.
