The Safety Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating safety activities across an assigned region, project portfolio, or operational area to ensure compliance with all company, client, and regulatory safety requirements. This leadership role provides strategic oversight for environmental, health, and safety initiatives while promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the organization. The successful candidate will partner with project teams, field personnel, subcontractors, and leadership to reduce risk, maintain compliance, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

- Manage and coordinate safety activities for assigned operations, projects, or geographic regions
- Conduct safety audits and inspections and recommend corrective actions to address hazardous conditions
- Ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory safety requirements
- Develop reports, presentations, and safety briefings for management and project teams
- Provide strategic and proactive direction on initiatives that improve environmental, health, and safety performance
- Implement and maintain all aspects of the company safety program and policies
- Ensure field personnel and subcontractors adhere to established safety standards and procedures
- Promote consistency, quality, and compliance across multiple project locations
- Oversee safety programs and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Lead and support accident, incident, and near‑miss investigations
- Provide guidance regarding safety processes, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Coach, mentor, and develop safety personnel and project teams
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to direct reports
- Support recruiting, interviewing, and hiring efforts for safety‑related positions
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Applied Sciences, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of safety experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
- Strong understanding of workplace safety laws and regulations
- Working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and DOT standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience utilizing safety management systems and reporting platforms
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- OSHA 10‑Hour, OSHA 30‑Hour, and OSHA 40‑Hour training
- OSHA 500 certification
- CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification
- ASP (Associate Safety Professional) certification
- Experience leading safety programs in construction, engineering, industrial, or manufacturing environments
- Experience supporting multiple projects or operational locations simultaneously
