Department Horseshoe Bend Pay Grade A13 FLSA Status Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

Manage and oversee the activities operations and personnel at the Horseshoe Bend facilities including inspections facility maintenance and booth operations; coordinate assistance needed in other departments; and provide support to the CRS Director The Fee Booth Manager is expected to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in accomplishing program objectives and is held responsible for the effectiveness of department operations

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Manages and oversees a comprehensive fee booth program
  • Develops and administers departmental goals objectives and procedures
  • Analyzes and assesses programs policies and operational needs and makes appropriate adjustments
  • Identifies and responds to sensitive community and organizational issues concerns and needs
  • Plans organizes direct and coordinate the work of staff
  • Delegates authority and responsibility
  • Analyzes problems identify alternative solutions project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals
  • Researches analyzes and evaluates new service delivery methods and techniques
  • Manages administers and coordinates departmental contracted service
  • Interprets and applies applicable Federal State and local policies laws and regulations
  • Communicates clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
  • Trains new employees on the proper procedures in the department
  • Prepares schedules for staff
  • Prepares budget plans for capital expenditures for Horseshoe Bend Area
  • Attends City Council meetings as required
  • Resolve guest complaints and answer guest questions regarding policies and procedures
  • Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints
  • Discuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues while working to resolve problems
  • Evaluate employees job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend appropriate personnel action
  • Review records or reports pertaining to activities such as production and payroll
  • Recruit and interview candidates for job openings
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED; and Three 3 years of cash handling experience;

Five 5 years of increasingly responsible management experience including supervisory experience;or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work

Licenses or Certifications

Must possess a valid State drive license upon employment

Special Requirements

Knowledge of the Page Lake Powell Grand Circle area Flexible schedule operation is sun up to sun down 7 days a week 365 days a year

Knowledge of the methods equipment and materials used in the collection of fees and reconciling monies collected

Skill in using good judgment in receiving and responding to public information inquiries and complaints

Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with co workers and other departments

Ability to work in a small confined space and outdoors in extreme weather

Ability to plan direct organize train and review the work of others

Ability to read and interpret basic policy equipment and plan document instructions with acceptable comprehension levels to perform steps described in written materials

Knowledge of principles and practices of program development and administration

Knowledge of principles and practices of municipal budget preparation and administration

Ability to provide clear detailed written andor verbal instructions to other employees on work assignments

Ability to frequently use of personal computer including word processing and spreadsheet programs calculator telephone copy machine and fax machine

Ability to establish and maintain supervisory relationship with subordinates

Knowledge of principles of management training and performance evaluations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job the employee must exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally andor up to 50 pounds of force to move objects The following physical abilities are required feeling fingering handling hearing lifting mental acuity speaking talking and visual acuity
