Tekberry is seeking detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineers to support our client, a worldwide designer, manufacturer, and integrator of precision control components, within a high-performance fabrication environment. These roles will support both developing and mature production programs, working as part of a collaborative Manufacturing Engineering Group.
The Manufacturing Engineer will focus on establishing and optimizing manufacturing methods for complex machined parts and sub-assemblies, supporting production shops with technical problem-solving, and driving process improvements to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance.

Job Overview:
The Manufacturing Engineer performs routine to moderately complex manufacturing engineering work requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures. Working within a structured engineering team, this role supports pre-production and active production programs by determining manufacturing processes, developing operation sequences, preparing tooling and gauging requirements, and proving out N/C programs.
The ideal candidate has a strong machining and fabrication background, solid technical judgment, and the initiative to collaborate cross-functionally to resolve production challenges efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Process Development
- Determine manufacturing procedures for complex machined parts and sub-assemblies based on engineering drawings.
- Establish operation sequencing and develop detailed operation sheets.
- Prepare tooling and gauging lists to support production.
- Develop engineered or estimated time standards for setup and run hours.
- Prepare and prove out N/C (Numerical Control) programs.
- Provide technical support to fabrication and production shops.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling, machine tools, gauging, heat treating, plating, and related processes.
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Independently determine solutions or coordinate with cross-functional teams as needed.
- Partner with Product and Design Engineers.
- Work with Quality Assurance personnel.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing & Process (M&P) Engineers.
- Support Inspectors and Production Supervision.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Production Scheduling teams.
- Interface with external vendors.
- Apply concurrent engineering principles to support ongoing program improvements.
- Utilize computer systems to prepare:
- Operation sheets
- N/C programs
- Time standards and related documentation
- Maintain accurate process documentation aligned with engineering and production standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in a manufacturing engineering role within a machining or fabrication environment.
- Ability to interpret and apply engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience developing operation sequences and manufacturing procedures.
- Experience preparing or proving out N/C programs.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and gauging.
- Ability to prepare time standards for setup and run operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting both pre-production and mature production programs.
- Experience in high-precision or regulated manufacturing environments (aerospace/defense preferred).
- Experience with heat treating, plating, and finishing processes.
- Familiarity with concurrent engineering principles.
- Technically strong with solid manufacturing fundamentals.
- Proactive and resourceful in solving production challenges.
