Responsibilities
- Operate forklift equipment and ensure safety standards are followed.
- Move raw materials to production lines as assigned and ensure supplies arrive in proper quantities as scheduled.
- Conduct all material handling procedures in accordance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Place all materials in the designated area and ensure that all parts have been accounted for based on the pick list.
- Check off all delivered parts before the end of your shift.
- Communicate with supervisors to ensure clear lines of communication.
- Multi‑task and prioritize in accordance with company daily schedule and requirements.
- Accurately update the inventory management system to reflect real‑time inventory status and facilitate easy tracking.
- Perform periodic audits to verify inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies with the Inventory Analyst team.
- Monitor and report any material damages or discrepancies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Safety policies must always be adhered to. Use of personal protection equipment will be required (safety glasses, safety boots, ear protection, cut‑level 5 gloves, etc.). Work near moving parts, require good manual dexterity and multi‑limb coordination, and may involve noise levels that fluctuate from quiet to loud. Work may take place in tight spaces. Adhere to the 5S‑Lean practice.
Qualifications & Experience- High school graduate or equivalent; forklift operation and safety certifications preferred.
- Valid US driver’s license.
- Microsoft Office experience preferred.
- Forklift experience, knowledge of inventory receiving, processing, and storage procedures.
- Understanding of production line supply requirements and general production operations.
- Experience with safe practices, procedures, overall processes, sheet metal, hardware, electronics, and shop tools.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Must meet physical fitness standards necessary for frequent lifting, walking, and standing.
- Analytical problem solver with good communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment to ensure seamless operations across departments.
- Ability to adapt to changing work schedules, environments, and operational priorities.
