Seeking Manufacturing Technicians with a minimum of 3 years of experience. 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday 2pm-12:30am. Hours may change based on business demand.

ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for the local delivery and execution of core manufacturing technician tasks to vendors and managers in accordance with Johnson Controls principles, corporate policies, and procedures, and plant operations. You will perform a variety of manufacturing functions to enhance employee engagement, safety and health, productivity, and ensure compliance with company policies in a manufacturing facility.
Key Tasks- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Use power tools, drills, grinders, saws, and hand tools.
- Measure and mark surfaces to lay out work according to drawings.
- Bolt, screw, clip, or otherwise fasten parts and components using hand and power tools.
- Clean and prepare assembly line.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Critical eye for identifying defects.
- Commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to determine the correct tools and equipment needed to perform a job.
- Ability to complete daily activities according to the work schedule.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods, and occasionally perform strenuous physical labor.
- Adherence to safety policies and use of personal protective equipment (safety glasses, safety boots, ear protection, etc.).
- Work near moving parts and in tight spaces with fluctuating noise levels.
- 2+ years as an assembler, carpenter, construction, or home building.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Sheet metal experience.
- Power tool experience in construction.
