Moog seeks a Manufacturing Manager to support product development and continuous improvement in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
Roles & Responsibilities- Oversee qualification of manufacturing processes for new products and lead continuous improvement for existing operations.
- Manage and develop Manufacturing Technicians and Manufacturing Engineers to meet production, quality, and safety objectives.
- Define and document manufacturing procedures, operation sequences, and work instructions.
- Establish and maintain time standards, cost estimates, and economic run quantities for components.
- Lead evaluation, justification, and implementation of new manufacturing equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, operations, and suppliers to resolve process issues and mentor team members.
- Own and support automation of manufacturing cells as possible, driving process stability and reducing labor variation.
- Ensure manufacturability of designs through drawing reviews and recommendations.
- Mentor Manufacturing Engineering on reviewing the manufacturability of designs.
- Support NC programming, tooling, and fixture design; assist with program prove‑outs and rework processes.
- Lead or support project initiatives and cost estimating for new proposals.
- Promote safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all operations.
- Travel up to 10% as needed.
- At least 8 years of engineering or operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years of direct management experience.
- Experience with manufacturing of circuit card assemblies and sensitive electronics.
- Experience in process engineering from raw material to finished goods.
- Knowledge of IPC standards and NASA standards for manufacturing of circuit card assemblies.
- Strong communication and influencing skills in written, verbal, and presentation formats.
- Six Sigma Certified or Lean Certification.
- Hands‑on experience setting up and operating SMT machines.
- Hands‑on experience with circuit card assembly manufacturing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Salary Range: $–$ annually. Additional rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, open paid time off policy and other region‑specific benefits.
