Seeking Manufacturing technicians with minimum 3 years of experience! 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday: 2pm-12:30am. Hours are subject to change based on business demand.

What you will doYou will be responsible for the local delivery and execution of core manufacturing technician duties to vendors and managers in accordance with Johnson Controls principles, corporate policies and procedures, and plant operations. You will perform a variety of employment‑related functions for the ultimate purpose of enhancing employee engagement, safety and health, productivity and ensuring employee compliance with company policies in a manufacturing facility.
Howyou will do it
- Read blueprints
- Use power tools, drills, grinders, saws, and hand tools
- Measure and mark surface to lay out work according to blueprints or drawings, using tape measures, straight edges, or squares, and marking devices
- Bolt, screw, clip, or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment
- Clean and prepare the assembly line
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills
- Time management skills
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams
- Critical eye for identifying defects
- Commitment to quality and safety
- Ability to readily determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do a job
- Ability to complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and occasionally perform strenuous physical labor
- Adherence to safety policies at all times
- Use of personal protection equipment (e.g., safety glasses, safety boots, ear protection, etc.)
- Regularly works near moving parts
- Good manual dexterity and multi‑limb coordination
- Tolerance for noise levels that can fluctuate from quiet to loud
- Ability to work in tight spaces
- 2+ years previous experience as an assembler, carpenter, construction or home building professional
- Manufacturing experience
- Sheet metal experience is a plus
- Power tool experience in construction is preferred
