Job Description SummaryThe primary role of the CNC Brake Press Machine Operator is to facilitate the assembly and fabrication of products, which may require the use of sheet metal manipulation machinery. The operator will prepare, set up, and adjust CNC Press Brake as required by product plans and production schedules; load, pre-program, and create their own programs to bend; and adhere to safety protocols when operating heavy machinery and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).

Starting Pay: $24+ per hour DOE
Machines Operated: ACC Safan Brake Press
- Minimum of 3 years as a CNC Brake Press Operator of one of the above machines.
- Fabrication of pieces as per schematic under supervision of a Team Lead/ Supervisor/ Senior Production Manager.
- Assembly of pieces into final product.
- Read blueprints and program machining equipment to produce required parts.
- Use metal working manipulation machinery (brake, shear, saw, punch, etc.).
- Familiarize self with and/or request training concerning machining equipment.
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure good working order and notify leadership of malfunctions.
- Assist trades people and leadership with responsibilities pertinent to progress of project in a safe manner.
- Familiarize self with new projects and duties, and/or request training concerning new equipment.
- Organize department and keep it clean each day.
- Notify leadership of any unsafe conditions, practices and/or procedures observed.
- May be required to move materials with forklift or overhead crane if trained and authorized.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Silent‑Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and applicable safety regulations.
- Use effective verbal and listening communication skills.
- Manage time effectively.
- Identify defects with a critical eye.
- Commit to quality and safety.
- Complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods and occasionally perform strenuous physical labor.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Completion of high school or equivalent education preferred.
- Additional education or apprenticeship program that complements the Metal Working Machine Operator’s performance is preferred.
- Experience with safe practices, procedures, and processes associated with manufacturing from raw materials to finished product.
