Electrical Assembly Technician

Join a Space and Defense manufacturing team as an Electrical Assembly Technician, reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor. You'll perform high-reliability soldering, crimping, and assembly on complex electronic sub-assemblies supporting government and aerospace programs.

What You'll Do:

• Perform soldering per IPC-J-STD on PCBs, wire boards, and circuit card assemblies (through-hole & surface mount)
• Assemble chassis/final units using circuit cards, wire harnesses, and precision tools
• Perform board-level repairs, jumper wire installs, and high-rel crimping on complex sub-assemblies
• Work with multi-pin connectors to meet government/customer specs
• Interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, and electronic work instructions
• Follow ESD protocols; maintain high-rel soldering certifications
• Partner with engineering on troubleshooting, rework, and test improvements
• Maintain cleanliness and traceability documentation for controlled programs

What You'll Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent training
• 5+ years hands-on electrical assembly/soldering experience
• Crimping, board-level repair, and electronic unit assembly expertise
• Familiarity with J-STD, IPC 610/620 standards, torque/crimping tools

Nice to Have:

• NASA 8739 soldering certification
• Avionics component experience (circuit card rework, coating, install)
• Strong drawing interpretation and cross-functional collaboration skills
