WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As a CNC Mill Machinist
, you may be responsible for but not limited to:
- Set up, operate, and adjust semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled CNC machine tools to perform standard and repetitive operations.
- Ability to run more than one unit simultaneously.
- Must be able to check parts for conformance to specifications.
- Maintain, implement, and improve 5S Principles.
- Perform regular department housekeeping duties as necessary.
- Sustain production standards and quality.
- Recognize, deploy, and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
- Perform daily and regular cleaning and light machine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required.
ABOUT YOU:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 7+ years of work experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience with CNC machining techniques and methods, setting up and running 3, 4, and 5 Axis CNC Mills.
- Experience using Heidenhain, Fanuc, and Haas CNC controls.
- Working knowledge of operations including drilling, boring and milling, turning, employing recognized tooling and procedures with tolerances that are close but maintainable.
- Proficiently interpret in-depth aerospace blueprints.
- Self-motivated individual that requires minimal supervision to be successful.
- Ability to read and follow verbal and written work instructions in English.
- Must be able to read blueprint specifications and follow written instructions.
- Able to operate and adjust semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools with provided programs; setups are often made and maintained by others.
