DPP is seeking a Cable and Harness Technician for an opportunity with our client in the Defense & Space Manufacturing industry.

Work location: Onsite in Gilbert, AZ
Duration: 12 months
Shift: 3:00PM- 12:30AM
Term: W2 contract
Work Authorization: Must be a US citizen

Position description:

As a member of the Harness Manufacturing department, you’ll get to embark on a career putting innovative, reliable, and agile products and ideas into orbit.

Responsibilities:

Manufacturing cable and harness products.
Read and interpret work instructions, schematics, wire lists, and drawings.
Ensures quality of the hardware is maintained and company procedures are followed.
Ensures work is done with completeness, accuracy, adherence to operation sheets, ISO procedures, schedules, and assign tasks.
Provides regular communication to show leads and work center management on status and technical issues.

Minimum required qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED plus a minimum of 5 additional years of education and/or relevant experience in assembly, electronics, manufacturing, production or logistics.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical assembly and wiring.
Must be capable of successfully completing certification to IPC WHMA-A-620 (Cable and Wire Harness Assembly) and NASA-J-STD.
Experience reading drawings and wiring diagrams.
Exceptional mechanical/electrical aptitude.
ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) and Crimping experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred qualifications:

Graduate from Technical Trade School
Current certification to IPC WHMA-A-620, NASA-J-STD; or other certifications in electronics assembly and workmanship.
Experience with MES applications including workflow, signoff and documentation.
