Environment: Indoor, air‑conditioned production shop
is a fast‑growing custom print and decal shop specializing in high-quality vinyl decals, custom apparel, screen printing, and digital print services. We’re looking for a reliable, detail‑oriented Silkscreen Associate who can thrive in a hands‑on production environment and contribute across multiple departments when needed.
Position OverviewThe Silkscreen Associate is responsible for the full manual screen‑printing process—from artwork setup to final press production. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently, and a willingness to assist in other production areas such as vinyl, decals, and print when the screen‑printing queue is light.
Key ResponsibilitiesScreen Printing Production
- Prepare and set up artwork for screen printing
- Print films and ensure proper output for screen exposure
- Coat, burn, wash out, and maintain screens
- Set up and register multi‑color jobs on a manual press
- Operate manual screen‑printing presses for single and multi‑color designs
- Press shirts and ensure consistent print quality
- Maintain cleanliness of press area, screens, tools, and equipment
- Track and maintain supply levels (ink, emulsion, tape, chemicals, etc.)
- Complete orders accurately and within required deadlines
Cross‑Department Support
- Assist with vinyl production during downtime (weeding, masking, cutting)
- Assist with checking in garments
- Help in decal, print, vinyl, and art departments as needed
- Support general shop workflow to keep production moving smoothly
- Ability to stand for the entire shift
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, high‑quality work
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistent production standards
- Previous screen‑printing experience (manual press preferred)
- Knowledge of screen prep, exposure, registration, and ink handling
- Basic understanding of artwork setup and film output
- Ability to troubleshoot common screen‑printing issues
- Experience in vinyl or decal production is a plus
