We are offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The Heart Care Shea Clinic is located at 10200 N. 92nd, Street, Ste. 150, Scottsdale, AZ 85258. The hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Cardiology experience preferred.

The RN’s practice is guided by the ANA Standard for Professional Nurse and the Code of Ethics. The RN records patients’ medical history and symptoms, helps perform diagnostic tests and analyze results, operates medical equipment, administers treatments and medications, and assists with patient follow-up and rehabilitation. The RN establishes or contributes to a care plan, including medication administration, IV line management, therapies, observation and consultation with physicians.

The RN teaches patients and families how to manage illnesses or injuries, explain post-treatement needs, diet, nutrition, exercise programs, and self-administration of medication and therapy. The RN provides direction to licensed practical nurses and nursing aides and delegates as appropriate. The RN supports efforts to advance clinical knowledge and skills, precepts new hire staff and students, assists staff and students in completing competency tasks, and continually enhances knowledge in nursing management.

The RN may continue to improve patient care.

• Collect health data systematically and prioritize collection based on patient needs and family involvement.
• Analyze assessment data, determine diagnoses, and develop, implement, evaluate, and revise an appropriate patient plan of care that is family centered, developmentally and age appropriate, and culturally relevant.
• Identify expected individualized outcomes and develop care plans that reflect evidence based practice.
• Implement interventions, initiate treatments, medications, emergency and resuscitative measures per standing orders, policies, and procedures.
• Provide nursing care meeting the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social-cultural needs of patients and families using a family-centered approach.
• Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes, document observations and interventions, and provide ongoing evaluation of the care plan’s quality and effectiveness.
• Evalue own nursing practice relative to professional standards and regulations.
• Integrate ethical principles, enhance knowledge of culture and diversity needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, patient, family, and other health-care providers in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care delivery.
• Develop and evaluate evidence-based standards of care, identify necessary changes, and participate in research to improve nursing practice and patient outcomes.
• Consider safety, effectiveness, and cost factors in planning and delivering patient care, utilizing resources efficiently.

• All Diploma and ADN hires must complete a BSN within 60 months of hire or have 5 years or more of Registered Nurse experience by hire.
• Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing. Staff with direct responsibility for stroke patients must meet stroke-specific education requirements prior to start.
• Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• Other: 10 months or more in med-surg or acute specialty setting.
• 1 year RN experience for all Float positions.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona required upon hire.
• National certification for unit-specific patient population preferred.
