Job Summary
Supervises, assesses, plans, coordinates, facilitates, and evaluates patient care and staff development; determines and maintains unit or program needs and standards (using nursing process and evidence‑based information). Assumes responsibility and accountability for incorporating the vision, values, mission, and critical goals of the organization into job performance. Assists the Clinical Director in the management of the unit’s assigned staff and patient population.
Provides direct patient care according to unit program needs and collaborates with physicians in executing medical plans of care.

- Oversee staff and ensure adequate patient care, including hiring/onboarding, performance evaluation, coaching, and development to promote productivity, quality, and alignment with mission.
- Establish or contribute to patient care plans, administer medications, manage IV lines, and monitor patient responses.
- Ensure compliance with policies, financial stewardship, and budget maintenance.
- Serve as a resource to staff, patients, families, physicians, and visitors to enhance patient experience and outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on illness management, home care, diet, and self‑medication.
- Facilitate inter/intra‑departmental collaboration and problem solving.
- Participate in policy revisions, committees, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Recruit and retain staff through modeling, education, and mentorship.
- Coordinate educational and professional activities related to unit needs.
- Round regularly with physicians, patients, or families to promote quality practice.
- Direct staff in nursing processes and promote independent functioning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited NLN/CCNE institution.
Legally licensed to work as a registered nurse in the State of Arizona.
Experience- 2 years Registered Nurse (RN) – Required
- 3 years Registered Nurse (RN) – Preferred
- BCLS – Basic Life Support BLS Healthcare Provider Training Course – Required
- NY must obtain certification in area of expertise within 1 year of hire or promotion for magnet standards – Required
- RN – State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure – Required
