The Grand Canyon Community Recreation Center is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and customer-focused Recreation Center Attendant to join our team! As a Recreation Center Attendant, you'll help create a welcoming environment where residents and employees can relax, stay active, and connect with others.
From planning exciting events and activities to assisting guests at the front desk, no two days are the same. If you're someone who enjoys being organized, thinking creatively, and working with people, we'd love to meet you!
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $15.85 per hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

What You’ll Do
- Welcome guests at the Front Desk and operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
- Develop, organize, promote, and host creative recreational events, tournaments, fitness activities, seasonal celebrations, movie nights, game nights, and other community programs.
- Brainstorm new ideas that encourage participation and build a strong sense of community.
- Handle event setup, decorating, promotions, and cleanup.
- Open and close the Recreation Center following established procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive facility through daily custodial duties including sweeping, vacuuming, lifting, trash removal, bathroom cleaning, and other general cleaning.
- Provide outstanding customer service while creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Monitor recreation areas and help enforce Recreation Center policies in a professional and respectful manner.
- Maintain inventory and tracking the use of recreation equipment and supplies.
- Follow all safety and risk management policies, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of fitness and weight equipment operation and basic maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within six (6) months of hire.
- Ability to obtain a Food Handler certification within thirty (30) days of hire.
