This approved Skill Bridge Program provides transitioning service members with civilian work experience during their last 6 months of service. Skill Bridge participants are not compensated by Northrop Grumman, as they continue to receive military compensation.

The service member will be on-site at their host company performing an individual internship in an entry to mid-level career type role. The service member will be on the job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40 hrs per week. The Goals, Objectives, and Outcomes are outlined below.

Provide transitioning service members with fellowship-style job skills training during the last portion(s) of their military commitment, designed to transition to a full-time opportunity.

Service members who complete the internship will be highly trained and prepared to meet the Northrop Grumman mission on Day 1. The program includes professional development, networking, and training focused on company history, customer engagement, product overview, and core job responsibilities.

• Has served at least 180 days on active duty
• Is within 12 months of separation or retirement
• Will receive an honorable discharge
• Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS
• Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
• Received written authorization from Unit Commander prior to start of internship

As a Quality Inspector – Level 3 at the Gilbert, AZ facility, you will inspect spacecraft and components, parts, and sub-assemblies for operation and conformance to government and/or company standards and specifications. Issues non-conformance reports for any noted discrepancies. Inspects adjustments, repairs, or modifications made to spacecraft components, sub-assemblies, and final product.

This position may involve 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift activities and occasional overtime or weekend support.

• Perform Configuration Audits of flight hardware prior to acceptance.
• Review test data to verify compliance with quality procedures and specifications, including ISO 9001/AS 9100.
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• 2+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance inspector or equivalent role in either a system-level or integration & test environment.
• Fluent in the use of Microsoft applications and ability to learn new computer programs/applications easily.
• Excellent technical writing skills are required.
• Strong work ethic and a good attitude – the best possible effort should be evident in the output.
• Personal initiative to become engaged in assigned work area without needing much direction from manager or team lead.
• Must be able to read engineering documentation and inspect drawings, part lists, inspection plans, and supplemental instructions.
• Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift activities and occasional overtime or weekend support is required.
• Previous experience working in ISO certified environment and using Process Specifications or Military Standards to inform inspection or work activities.

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace workmanship standards for aerospace vehicle electrical harnesses, including crimping and/or soldering (e.g. IPC‑A‑620, NASA 8739 series).
• Knowledge of TipQA, Costpoint, MES, or other database applications.
• Knowledge on how to read & interpret schematics and wire lists.
• Active workmanship certifications from accreditation/standards companies (e.g. IPC).
• Technical Associates (2 year) degree from accredited institution.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
