We are hiring immediately for full‑time FOOD UNIT LEAD positions.
Location:
American Leadership Academy – 1010 South Higley Road, Gilbert, AZ 85296. Online applications accepted only.
Schedule:
Monday‑through‑Friday, full‑time; hours may vary (details available upon interview).
Previous food handling experience is preferred but not required.
Pay Range: $16.00–$18.50 per hour.

Job SummaryCoordinates activities of other food‑service employees. Creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff, and visitors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide quality customer service by attending to detail one‑on‑one.
- Oversee and participate in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in accordance with company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control.
- Help plan menus.
- Ensure timely, efficient meal service; supervise serving of meals.
- Respond to customer complaints in person at the time of the complaint and via email for electronic complaints.
- Train employees; assign and coordinate work of employees to promote efficiency and excellence.
- Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
- Use proper systems for the completion of required daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory‑cash reports, production records, payroll, and time‑keeping.
- Responsible for proper cash handling as established by the Food Accounting Manual (deposits – petty cash – change funds).
- Order food and other necessary supplies from approved sources or purveyors.
- Direct and participate in the overall sanitation and safety of the facility and employees in accordance with company standards and government regulations.
- Develop sanitation schedule and ensure food‑service employees adhere to the schedule for cleaning of kitchen and dining area and washing of kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Issue written and oral instructions.
- Help select and orient employees; oversee staff training in areas of responsibility.
