Position DescriptionDrives retail business operations at a Retail Store location for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona and its affiliated entities, to support the mission of ending unemployment. Responsible for entire store production, directly leading Assistant Store Manager(s), Production Team, and Donation Attendants. Core duties include people leadership, store operations, financial management, inventory control, donation processing, customer service, and training and development of team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and execute retail operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production.
- Coordinate with Retail District Manager to develop and implement strategic plans to drive donations.
- Monitor product levels (floor work, as-is, recycle, trash, seasonal back stock) daily to meet sales budget targets.
- Manage payroll and operating costs to stay within budget.
- Ensure team members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
- Maintain store cleanliness and ensure it reflects Goodwill brand.
- Partner with community businesses and organizations to promote Goodwill mission.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
- Serve as a Goodwill ambassador to the community.
- Transfer to or cover shifts at different stores as business needs require.
- Ensure all team members and donation attendants are properly trained, perform duties, and fulfill responsibilities.
- Ensure donation attendants demonstrate excellent customer service, properly sort and prepare donations.
- Ensure production team processes, prices, and displays product according to company standards and store goals.
- Under direction of Retail District Manager, partner with other locations to allocate donations and personnel for maximum performance.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, policies and regulations.
- Build a high-performing team.
- Perform performance management (coaching, discipline, improvement plans, annual reviews), staffing, compensation and development of team members.
- Ensure Assistant Store Manager effectively manages performance of associates.
- Drive company culture change and change management processes.

- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Must have reliable transportation for daily tasks such as bank deposit drops, assisting at other stores, and attending training and development classes.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of retail management experience, preferably in thrift retail.
- One year of customer service experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as applicable.
- Proficient in speaking and reading English.
