Overview

Account Executive – Business Development at Big Marlin Group, a Marketing Solutions Company based in Gilbert, Arizona. We specialize in finding marketing solutions that produce big results for local and national companies. We work across digital, web, and print to create cohesive brands and targeted campaigns. Our client base includes small, medium, and large companies across the U.S.

We’re growing and seeking a driven Account Executive to focus on Business Development to identify ideal clients, drive new revenue, and project manage marketing efforts for our agency. This candidate should have a passion for marketing, strong project management skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to collaborate with various teams, including brainstorming and presenting ideas or strategies, closing deals, and building relationships.

The ideal candidate has sales experience, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a can-do attitude. Presentation and communication skills are essential. Opportunities exist to train and build experience across our disciplines.

This position is full-time, based in Gilbert, AZ. You will work from the office during regular business hours unless on sales appointments, networking, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Heavy emphasis on supporting one of our largest national accounts
  • Drive continued relationships with clients (online meetings, phone calls, and email)
  • Collaborate with internal departments (digital, sales, creative, and account services)
  • Create and manage written processes
  • Meet and exceed sales goals
  • Strong proposal writing and presentation skills
  • Close deals
  • Understand Big Marlin Group’s marketing needs and objectives and work with Account Service and Digital teams to ensure effectiveness
  • Present new ideas and strategies to clients and internal teams
  • Monitor campaign effectiveness via reporting tools and propose alternatives for results
  • Manage digital marketing projects using workflow software; review and confirm deliverables
  • Maintain best practices for digital ad accounts and Google/Facebook certifications as required
  • Conduct keyword research, audits, and competitor analysis
  • Organize and communicate with strong time management
  • Think creatively and develop strong proposals for prospects
  • Strategize using traditional and digital marketing approaches
  • Maintain strong relationships with local and national businesses
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurial attitude with drive to grow and achieve goals
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Show persistence and creative problem-solving
  • Demonstrate broad marketing knowledge (web design/development, traditional marketing, and digital marketing)
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with teams to generate ideas
  • Stay up to date on industry evolution
Qualifications
  • Education:

    2-4 year degree preferred
  • Experience:

    At least 2 years of Account Executive & Sales experience in marketing services, digital media, or advertising products is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in Mac and PC environments
  • Strong computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Teams, Canva, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, Sales CRM
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities
  • Passion for learning and drive for continuous growth
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Resourceful and creative thinking
  • Very organized and self-motivated
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work early or stay late as needed
