Job Overview
Cox Communications is seeking a Part‑Time Retail Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer experiences in our retail store environments. The role involves explain and demonstrate products, drive sales, and support store operations while maintaining a customer‑centric approach.
Responsibilities- Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer tailored suggestions based on customer needs.
- Meet or exceed targets for customer experience, sales, and customer retention.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures for the store.
- Handle cash transactions accurately.
- Participate in workshops, special events, and product demos.
- Support fellow sales agents as needed.
- Continue to expand knowledge of Cox products and competitor offerings through regular training.
- Be willing to work in other retail locations within the same geographic area.
- High school diploma or GED, or up to 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to sell via a consultative, solutions‑based approach.
- Skill in building relationships with a diverse customer base.
- Multitasking and prioritization in a fast‑paced team environment.
- Ability to remain mobile within the store for extended periods.
- Computer literacy and a willingness to learn new communication products, services, and accessories.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Capability to lift 25–50 pounds.
- Preferred:
Some college experience in sales, business, or management; one year of related retail or service experience; experience selling wireless/mobile products;
Spanish fluency (written and spoken).
- Hourly base rate of $15.29–$22.88, with a target hourly rate of at least $17.18 for 29 hours per week.
- Annual incentive/commission target of $7,674 and a targeted monthly commission of $639.
