Summary:
The Regional Business Director leads the sales specialty team for their Region, managing Account Managers to promote and sell healthcare products to healthcare providers. Works with Marketing and Commercial to develop and execute the sales strategy, serves as a marketplace information resource, and delivers on contractual obligations.
Responsibilities:- Lead and manage sales personnel in the assigned Region
- Partner with hospital and health system stakeholders to ensure access to Pacira products
- Hire, develop, and oversee direct reports
- Ensure the Region meets/exceeds sales goals and targets
- Lead regional and territory business planning
- Set and monitor operating and expense budgets
- Track, monitor, and report sales performance and progress
- Work closely with hospital specialists to optimize resources and maximize goal attainment
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and Pacira policies
- Regular business travel by air or car
- Minimum BA/BS; MBA or related graduate degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ hospital selling experience (or experience preferred)
- Minimum 7 years successful pharmaceutical/biologic/biotech/medical device sales
- Minimum 4 years sales management experience with proven success meeting quantitative/qualitative targets
- Prior experience with injectable products
- Prior surgical suite experience a plus; prior pain product experience preferred
- Experience selling “elastomeric bags” a plus
- Marketing experience preferred; account management/Managed Care experience a plus
- Knowledge of formulary process; strong analytical skills; ability to recruit/hire/coach
- Excellent English communication; cross-functional teamwork
- Must live in or near designated geographic region; ability to travel extensively; valid driver’s license and safe driving record

- Base pay range: $172,000–$225,000/year; incentive/bonuses may be offered depending on position.
