Job SummaryWe have evolved from selling and servicing fire extinguishers to becoming a full‑service fire and life safety corporation. We specialize in sprinkler system testing, repair and installation, kitchen and restaurant systems, fire alarm design, installation and service, backflow prevention devices, full service alarm monitoring, fire pump repair and installation, and underground hydrant repairs and installation, among the many services we offer.
Responsibilities- Assist with the sales and estimating components for sprinkler service jobs
- Coordinate sprinkler service jobs with the Sprinkler Install Manager, as necessary
- Complete jobsite surveys and assessments
- Meet with clients to discuss their fire safety needs and provide them with detailed estimates
- Read and comprehend plans and specifications
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other construction professionals to determine the best fire safety solutions for each project
- Prepare and submit accurate and competitive bids for fire sprinkler systems
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including design, materials, fabrication, equipment, permits, subcontracts, consulting fees, and installation labor for fire sprinkler systems
- Analyze project requirements
- Re‑evaluate estimates and costs as project details change
- Forward awarded bids to the appropriate contacts for scheduling purposes
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure availability of materials and resources
- Remain current with the latest fire safety regulations and technology
- Provide technical support to the project team during the construction phase
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on the status of the fire sprinkler system installation
- Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years prior work experience in the fire sprinkler industry
- Able to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings to meet customer needs
- Able to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk working on a computer
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions – climbing ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Knowledge of fire systems and tools
- High precision / detail-oriented
- Able to travel to multiple job sites each day
- Able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders multiple times a day
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to work independently, with little supervision
- Works effectively and efficiently while performing all aspects of the required job
