Utility Electrician

The Utility Electrician reports to the Wells Utility Supervisor. The primary duties of this position include:  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Actively participates and accomplishes organizational, departmental, and workgroup goals and objectives.

* Installs, alters, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring systems and equipment, both high and low voltage.

* Designs functional electrical circuits for electrical systems.

* Responsible for actively reducing energy use.

* Troubleshoot electrical issues at booster and well sites.

* Review and close work orders.

* Create regular reports based on department activity.

This position has been designated as a medium work position, spending a majority of the workday in a Water Treatment Plant and/or an outdoor environment.  to learn more about the different physical exertion levels as defined by the Social Security Administration.

* High School Diploma or GED

* 1 year of specialized or technical training beyond high school in electrical systems integration and system control wiring

* Completion of an accredited four-year electrical apprenticeship program.

* 5 years of experience in industrial electrical work.

* Valid Arizona Driver's License.

* Certified as a Journeyman Electrician.

* ADEQ - Grade I Water Distribution or Water Treatment Certification within 1 year of hire.

This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Non-Exempt - eligible for overtime compensation.
