Lead Security Install Technician

The Lead Installation Security Technician is primarily responsible for installing and replacing alarm, camera, and access systems. The ideal candidate is confident in installation and programming skills, works effectively with little supervision, and demonstrates management, leadership, communication, and customer orientation.

• Install security systems per provided job scopes and drawings
• Install and service access control systems
• Install and service IP‑based camera systems
• Install and service alarm systems
• Work efficiently as a lead technician on the team to install systems
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
• Communicate equipment issues and potential solutions to customers
• Explain and train customers on effective utilization of equipment and/or systems
• Update and complete customer files accurately, including contacts, work orders, parts used, and work performed
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer questions and concerns
• Ensure compliance with company and customer safety programs
• Maintain all applicable certifications for necessary products serviced by company
• Lead, train, mentor and/or coach less experienced technicians

• 5+ years security technician work experience
• Commercial experience
• Valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma/ GED
• Ability to work flexible hours including after‑hours, nights, and weekends
• Ability to travel to multiple job sites each day
• Fully proficient in alarm, access control, and IP camera systems
• Access control installation and servicing experience – knowledge in S2 and Brivo
• Experience with installation of controller, reader, contact, REX, and electrified door hardware
• Commercial alarm system installation & servicing experience – knowledge in Burg, DMP, Honeywell and DSC systems a plus
• Camera system installation & servicing experience including network camera systems – knowledge in Exacq, Wave VMS a plus
• CAT5/6 network termination skills
• High precision/detail‑oriented
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Ability to lead a team on larger jobs
• Works effectively and efficiently while performing all aspects of the required job
• Alarm Agent License
• DPS Fingerprint Card
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
