Make a difference at MTM Transit. As a Fleet Maintenance Technician at our Gilbert, AZ facility, you’ll maintain a fleet of 112 vehicles, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability for community riders.

• Maintain, service, diagnose, and repair MTM Transit service vehicles.
• Areas of repair include:
  • Automotive / light‑duty vehicles, powertrains, undercarriage/chassis
  • Electronic and electrical equipment, HVAC systems
  • Wheelchair lifts and vehicle accessories
  • Driving, diagnostics, and equipment drivability
• Record vehicle repair activity in the electronic fleet maintenance management system.
• Perform preventive maintenance as required.
• Collaborate with the Fleet Maintenance Manager and General Manager.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of automotive or truck experience, or automotive courses from an institute (entry‑level C‑level).
• Valid U.S. driver’s license for the past 3 years, 21 years or older.
• Valid authorization to work in Arizona and the U.S.
• AC609 certification or ability to obtain it.
• Must pass DOT physical, pre‑employment drug screening, criminal background check, and motor‑vehicle record check.
• No DUI, DWI, reckless driving in the past 5 years; no more than one moving violation in each of the last 3 years.
• Experience with hand and power tools, machinery, and automotive diagnostic equipment.
• Willingness to train for and take ASE A‑series tests as needed.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills for electronic repair work orders.
• Commitment to safety procedures.
• Regular attendance required.
• ASE certification (preferred for level
  
  B).

• Starting pay: $26.50 to $33.50 per hour.
• ASE Certification Bonus Program: annual bonus $2,500 for each retained Master ASE; $250 one‑time bonus per initial ASE test pass.

• Available schedules:
  Day shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm) and 2nd shift (4:00 pm – 12:00 am); must work weekends.
