Overview
As a Technician in Nationwide’s facility maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and infrastructure to ensure safe, comfortable, and reliable operations across residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, plastering, HVAC, and landscaping.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and ensure all systems, including utility infrastructure, are fully operational and inspected according to accepted standards.
- Assist with landscape maintenance duties, mechanical equipment and irrigation system upkeep, and snow removal.
- Cooperate with a team on carpentry, masonry, and painting functions as related to facility maintenance.
- Participate in electrical system layout, assembly, installation, testing, repair, and adjustment of electrical distribution and communication systems, fixtures, and wiring.
- Support HVAC maintenance, including customer service requests, testing and inspection of water and life safety systems, and chemical treatment programs.
- Contribute to plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical system upkeep as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of related work experience in facility maintenance.
- General knowledge of HVAC mechanical and life safety systems and mechanical test equipment.
- Familiarity with codes, principles, and techniques for installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics for moderately complex systems.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work effectively as part of a maintenance team.
- Overtime Eligible (Non‑Exempt).
- Working in a building maintenance environment with occasional non‑standard or rotating shifts.
- May require work outside in various weather conditions.
- Requires the ability to lift and carry objects weighing over 50 pounds, and to push or move up to 100 pounds.
