Journeyman Plumber

Job Description

BP Mechanical is seeking experienced journeyman plumbers for full-time opportunities across the Phoenix metropolitan area. Working primarily on new construction and renovation projects in commercial and industrial settings, this role involves collaborating with both small teams and large crews. Journeyman plumbers will work on diverse plumbing systems, ensuring quality installations while adhering to current codes and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
• Perform underground plumbing installations
• Complete top out installation tasks
• Execute final trim plumbing work
• Maintain and care for personal plumbing tools
• Travel occasionally within the Phoenix metropolitan area to project sites
• Ensure compliance with plumbing codes and safety standards
• Collaborate effectively within small teams and large crews

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of verifiable commercial plumbing experience at the journeyman level
• Ability to accurately layout building plumbing systems
• Experience in underground, top out, and final trim phases
• Proficient in reading and understanding construction drawings and specifications
• Clean driving record and own plumbing tools
• Self-motivated with strong teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of current plumbing codes
• Advanced blueprint interpretation skills
• Experience with commercial plumbing systems and underground installations
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Effective time management skills
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
