# Maintenance Lead Technician – Dietary Supplement Manufacturing

  • Herbally Yours, Inc. Gilbert, Arizona
About Us
Herbally Yours, Inc. is an established contract manufacturer specializing in dietary supplements, including powders, capsules, and liquids. We manufacture products for leading health and wellness brands in a cGMP-regulated environment.
We are seeking an experienced, highly dependable, and
** hands-on Maintenance Lead Technician
** to take ownership of production equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and general facility maintenance.
This is a
** working technician position**, not a desk-based management role. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently, identifying problems before they become emergencies, prioritising work without constant supervision, and following repairs and maintenance projects through to completion.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Lead Technician is responsible for maintaining production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations with minimal production downtime.
The position includes troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment, completing scheduled preventive maintenance, coordinating outside vendors when necessary, maintaining accurate maintenance records, managing spare parts and supplies, and responding promptly to production equipment failures.
We are looking for someone who takes
** ownership of the facility and its equipment**. If something is leaking, malfunctioning, unsafe, overdue for service, or beginning to fail, we expect our Maintenance Lead to recognise it, address it, and communicate the status appropriately.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, company SOPs, and applicable safety requirements.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and ensure PM activities are completed on time and properly documented.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and equipmentcontrol issues and perform necessary repairs, adjustments, and component replacements.
  • Maintain and repair production and warehouse equipment including:
  • Blenders and mixers
  • Capsulefilling and encapsulation equipment
  • Liquid and powder filling equipment
  • Labelers
  • Sleeving and shrink equipment
  • Boxers and packaging equipment
  • Inkjet and coding systems
  • Forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Other manufacturing and material handling equipment
  • Perform or coordinate building and facility maintenance, including HVAC systems, air compressors, dust collection systems, ductwork, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and other facility systems.
  • Respond promptly to equipment failures and work closely with Production to minimise downtime.
  • Diagnose problems systematically rather than relying solely on outside service providers.
  • Determine when repairs can be completed internally and when qualified outside vendors are required.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotes for replacement parts, equipment repairs, and third party services.
  • Coordinate and supervise outside contractors and service technicians when necessary.
  • Verify that contracted repairs and maintenance work have been satisfactorily completed before closing the project.
  • Use proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and follow all applicable workplace safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair histories, preventive maintenance records, and equipment documentation.
  • Maintain the maintenance calendar and ensure required inspections, services, and preventive maintenance activities are completed by their due dates.
  • Monitor spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies and anticipate future requirements to prevent unnecessary downtime.
  • Purchase or request parts and supplies in accordance with company purchasing procedures.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Maintain maintenance areas, tools, equipment, and work spaces in a clean and organised condition.
  • Promptly identify, correct, or report safety hazards and facility issues.
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist with equipment installation, relocation, set up, qualification and improvement projects.
  • Train employees on equipment operation, basic troubleshooting, safety procedures, and applicable SOPs when required.
  • Communicate clearly with Production, Quality, and management regarding equipment…
