Responsible for leading and overseeing the installation, repair, replacement, and dismantling of machinery and heavy equipment at water and wastewater treatment plants. Works closely with the Project Team to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to plans and specifications.

• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Plan and coordinate machinery and heavy equipment installation activities.
• Lead and direct crews and subcontractors, ensuring quality, productivity, and safety.
• Develop weekly 3-week look-ahead schedules, including labor and equipment needs.
• Monitor production, project progress, and job costs; identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate daily activities with the Project Team and other departments.
• Inspect equipment upon delivery and before leaving the project; report damage or issues.
• Maintain quality control of work performed by crews and subcontractors.
• Enforce Hunter Contracting Co. safety policies and promote a strong safety culture.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Minimum 5 years of millwright experience and 2+ years of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Knowledge of machinery installation, rigging, hoists, cranes, ropes, and cables.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in a variety of field conditions.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate people, equipment, and resources while working with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of construction production methods and safety practices.
• Valid driver’s license required.
