Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Recreation Leader – Kiddy Korner. With every job we fill, our focus is on providing best‑in‑class service to our citizens while offering the opportunity for professional growth in work environment.
The Recreation Leader reports to the Recreation Coordinator. The primary job duties include:
- Assist with implementing facility programs and events.
- Prepare activities, curriculum, lead and monitor assigned activities, adapt to participants’ needs, classroom management, and maintain records.
- Customer service to include fielding questions and resolving conflicts with internal and external customers.
- Facilitate a range of activities, crafts and games for children ages 18 months to 7 years in a safe and friendly environment.
Applications are reviewed on a weekly basis.
Qualifications- Work with minimal to no supervision, respond to emergency situations and resolve conflicts. li>Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Flexible availability to work days and evenings (approximately 10–15 hours weekly).
Hours:
Monday–Thursday 8 am–12 pm and 4 pm–8 pm;
Friday 8 am–12 pm and 4 pm–7:30 pm; rotating Saturdays 8 am–1 pm. - Possess and maintain certification for CPR and Standard First Aid within 30 days of hire.
- Age requirement:
Must be 18+ years.
This position is an At‑Will position and is FLSA Non‑Exempt – eligible for overtime compensation.
Job ClassificationThis position has been designated as a Medium work position that spends a majority of the workday in an office/warehouse/outdoor/field environment. to learn more about the different physical exertion levels as defined by the Social Security Administration.
