Overview
Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector seeks a Software Engineer, Level 3 (Principal) or Level 4 (Senior Principal) based in Gilbert, AZ. The role involves developing and sustaining mission‑operational software product lines and creating new capabilities within a large subsystems team.
Responsibilities- Develop and sustain mission‑operational software product lines.
- Create new capabilities to support national security missions.
- Collaborate with multiple subsystem teams each focused on a specialized software domain.
Relocation assistance may be available.
TravelCandidate must travel to Redondo Beach, CA for approximately 4 consecutive weeks for required training and may travel 25% of the time.
Security ClearanceClearance required t hold active SCI access or active TS clearance with ability to obtain SCI access within a reasonable period. Final clearances and program access required to be obtained by start date and maintained thereafter.
Basic Qualifications – Level 3- Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience; OR Master’s Degree with 3 years; OR PhD with 1 year.
- Additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Active SCI access at time of application or active TS clearance with ability to obtain SCI access.
- Advanced Object‑Oriented programming skills.
- Proficiency with C++ programming.
- Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience; OR Master’s Degree with 3 years; OR PhD with 4 years.
- Additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Active SCI access at time of application or active TS clearance with ability to obtain SCI access.
- Advanced Object‑Oriented programming skills.
- Proficiency with C++ programming.
- Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Dev Sec Ops Test Automation experience.
- Experience with programming/scripting languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, Perl.
- Strong math and algorithms skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience on an Agile scrum team or familiarity with Agile process.
- Familiarity with Atlassian tool suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo).
- Experience developing in a Linux environment using Git.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
