Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Sector is seeking a Software Engineer
- Level 3/4 to join our team. This position can be located in either Redondo Beach, CA, Aurora, CO,
or Gilbert, AZ.

This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance of the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future. Additionally, _ the candidate must be able to travel to Redondo Beach, CA for approximately 4 consecutive weeks for required training.

In this role, you will develop and sustain several mission operational SW product lines, as well as develop new capabilities. You will join a large team comprising of multiple subsystems, each with a specialized software focus. We are looking for an energetic and passionate software engineer to join our team as we work to provide innovative solutions to complex issues in support of our national security mission.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications for Software Engineer
- Level 3:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience;
  Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience;
  PhD with 1 year of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

• Must have an active SCI at time of application OR an active TS clearance at time of application with the ability to obtain SCI within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company prior to start date

• Advanced Object-Oriented programming skills

• Experience with C++ programming

• Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience;
  Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience;
  PhD with 4 years of relevant experience ; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

• Must have an active SCI at time of application OR an active TS clearance at time of application with the ability to obtain SCI within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company prior to start date

• Advanced Object-Oriented programming skills

• Experience with C++ programming

• Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system

Preferred Qualifications:

• Dev Sec Ops  Test Automation experience

• Experience with programming/scripting languages:
  
  C. C++. Java, Python, Perl

• Strong in math and algorithms

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees, management, and stakeholders

• Previous participation on an Agile scrum team or familiarity with the Agile process

• Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo)

• Experience developing in a Linux environment using git

• Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills

• Active TS/SCI security clearance
