The job of Nutrition Service Worker is to prepare and distribute food items for consumption by students and school personnel, and maintain facilities in a sanitary condition.

• Arrange food and beverage items to make them available to students and staff.
• Clean utensils, equipment, and storage, food preparation, and serving areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Inspect food items and supplies to verify quantity and specifications and comply with health requirements.
• Monitor kitchen and cafeteria areas to ensure a safe working environment.
• Prepare daily item counts and associated reports for documentation.
• Prepare food and beverage items to meet mandated nutritional and meal requirements.
• Serve food items to meet nutritional requirements and requests of students and personnel.
• Stock food, condiments, and supplies to maintain adequate quantities and security.

• Assist other personnel in completing their work activities.
• Respond to inquiries from students, staff, and the public to provide information or direction regarding meal types and costs.

Experience: Job related experience is required.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Certifications/Clearances: Must possess a valid Arizona DPS Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card while employed. Arizona Food Handler's Certificate.
