Freight Broker - Operations Support — Full-time;

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Senior Brokers and the Operations team to coordinate shipments, communicate with carriers and customers, and ensure freight moves smoothly from pickup to delivery.
  • Assist Brokers in coordinating and tracking freight shipments.
  • Communicate with carriers to confirm availability, rates and load details.
  • Update & maintain shipment information in the Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Monitor loads to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
  • Provide status updates to the customers and internal teams.
  • Help source new carriers and maintain carrier relationships.
  • Verify documentation including rate confirmations, BOLs and PODs.
  • Support problem resolution related to delays, scheduling issues, or service concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies.
Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • High attention to detail and strong organization skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, data entry)
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Internship or customer service experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with the Transportation and / or Logistics industry is a plus
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Time management and prioritization
  • Professional phone and email communication
  • Negotiation support skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Customer-focused attitude
