Shipping Associate; Fullerton,CA

Position Overview

Avocado Green Brands is looking for a Shipping Associate to support the Shipping Team and report to the Shipping Manager. The role involves shipping outbound packages, maintaining inventory accuracy, and entering data into spreadsheets and documents. The associate will also follow up with carriers such as Fed Ex and UPS and work onsite at one of the Fullerton locations.

Hourly: $17.00 – $19.63

• Prepare, package, and ship outbound packages and freight accurately and promptly.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by keeping the shipping area clean, organized, and up‑to‑date.
• Update shipping paperwork and enter accurate data into spreadsheets, systems and shipping platforms.
• Communicate regularly with carriers (Fed Ex, UPS) to follow up on orders, resolve issues and ensure on‑time deliveries.
• Schedule orders for pickup and coordinate trailer pickups as needed.
• Assist other departments with shipping, receiving and inventory control tasks as assigned.
• Promote and uphold the safety culture, complying with all company and Cal/OSHA regulations.

• Strong attention to detail, organization and accuracy.
• Ability to lift, move and, when required, perform team lifts for bulky items.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word and data entry.
• Ability to follow shipping procedures, schedules and documentation requirements.
• Safety‑first mindset – able to identify hazards and report incidents promptly.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Positive, team‑oriented attitude and willingness to learn.

• Strength & Lifting – lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. regularly; team lifts for heavier items.
• Movement & Dexterity – frequent bending, stooping, reaching; manual dexterity for package prep, pallet jack use and shipping tools.
• Ability to scan, label and process items quickly and accurately.
• Endurance – stand and walk for 8–10 hour shifts; repetitive movements for packaging and labeling.
• Work Environment – exposure to warehouse equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks and freight; moderate noise and temperature variations.
• Protective Equipment – use of PPE (gloves, safety shoes, etc.) as required.
