Job Description
This position is responsible for delivering products to customers from Sherwin-Williams stores using box and flat-bed trucks. Drivers must ensure deliveries are complete, packed correctly, safely delivered to the correct customer, and maintain customer satisfaction. The role requires transporting items in a safe and timely manner.
This role will be based at Store #1104 located at 566 E Germann Rd Ste 104 Gilbert, AZ 85297.
The duties involve contact with customers, including minors, and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other items of value. Criminal history review is required to protect the company’s operations and safety.
Responsibilities- Ensure deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements efficiently
- Load customer orders properly on the truck
- Ensure appropriate forms are completed
- Load, transport, and deliver items to customers safely and on time
- Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repairs and servicing needs
- Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints
- Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules
- Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
- Prepare reports and other documents related to deliveries
- Operate equipment and machines such as cars, trucks, and forklifts
- Perform other tasks in the store, including warehouse duties, tinting, and mixing customer orders
- At least twenty-one (21) years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) from an FMCSA National Registry licensed medical examiner, or willingness to obtain one within five business days of an offer
- Able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Reading and speaking English sufficiently for conversation with the general public, understanding highway traffic signs and signals, answering official inquiries, and entering reports and records
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one year of experience as a delivery driver
- At least one year of experience using material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu‑hoists, drum dollies, conveyor belts, etc.)
- Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
Compensation decisions are dependent on facts and circumstances. The wage range for this role is provided as a guideline and may vary based on skill sets, experience, licensure, certifications, and business needs.
