Overview
The Policy Service Associate I provides administrative and clerical support to department members and works directly with Account Managers to assist in processing client requests for service, endorsements, cancellations, and binders. The role involves requesting worksheets and experience modifications at renewal, verifying and maintaining account files, and maintaining client relationships. The incumbent will learn carrier websites for online quoting and develop independence and proficiency to serve clients directly and handle their own book of business, taking primary direction from a mentor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform clerical duties with minimal errors (filing, mail preparation, data entry, photocopying, etc.).
- Assist Sales Executives and/or Account Managers with assigned tasks.
- Process client service requests, endorsements, cancellations, certificates of insurance, and binders.
- Prepare proposals for presentation.
- Check in policies for accuracy and communicate variances with Account Manager.
- Maintain and verify accurate records.
- Review monthly renewals in advance and assist in renewal processing.
- Prepare and maintain relevant reports (e.g., download report).
- Provide backup support for Administrative Assistants.
- Demonstrate good written and verbal communication and maintain positive interactions with co‑workers.
- Perform any other duties as appropriate and assigned by management.
- MUST obtain a current Property/Casualty or Life/Health License (depending on department alignment) in the resident state within 120 days of hire, and maintain the license by meeting all continuation education and other requirements.
- 2+ years’ office experience.
- High school diploma or equivalency; some college preferred.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
