This position is full-time (30-34 hours) with general hours of need being from 7 am to 5 pm. Days of the week negotiable based on office schedule. Occasional travel may be required for this position as our Wyoming team is located in Sheridan and Gillette.

Performance Expectations- Essential Functions:
- Provides continual and exceptional customer service for all patients, making the patient the first priority.
- Practices constant cleanliness throughout the office and sterilizes when not assisting.
- Utilizes all downtime.
- Arrives on time for all shifts.
- Follows the training compact and takes responsibility for his or her training.
- Assists all doctors in procedures, carrying out procedures in an effective and efficient manner.
- Continue to learn about office policies, procedures, and flow.
- Keeps patients safe during their time in the office.
- Reviews company email and communication board each shift for updates.
- Follow the team member guidelines.
- Maintains patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance.
- Reasonable computer and typing skills with the ability to learn new programs as required.
- Good eyesight (what we work with is small!).
- Has one to three years experience in a customer service role, preferably in a medical setting.
- Has a reputation for excellent relations with patients and all office staff.
- Has worked effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to improvise in a busy work environment.
- Interested in learning about orthodontics.
- Self-motivated, especially under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Able to effectively manage emotions in the workplace.
- Communicates effectively and efficiently, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Recognizes when help is needed and asks for help.

Physical demands:
- Bending, stooping, walking, and standing for long periods at a time.
- Great manual dexterity and able to use hands for fine motor movements throughout the workday.
- Must be able to safely lift up to 30 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Orthodontic assisting experience preferred, but not required
- Experience in a professional setting with direct patient interaction preferred, but not required
