We are currently seeking an experienced ES&H Coordinator to join our team.

Job Summary

The Traveling Environmental, Safety and Health (ES&H) Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all assigned job sites throughout the state of Wyoming meet required standards as set forth in company policies, client policies, union contractor requirements (when applicable), and all relevant government agency regulations.

This position requires extensive travel to active job sites across Wyoming. Project assignments may range from short-term projects lasting one week to long-term assignments exceeding one year. The ES&H Coordinator must be adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in dynamic field environments while maintaining consistent safety oversight and compliance.

The ES&H Coordinator serves as the on-site safety representative and ensures alignment with Earth Work Solution’s (EWS) policies as well as the contractual safety, labor, and compliance requirements of the companies with whom we are partnered, including union-affiliated contractors when applicable. This position will report to EWS’s ES&H Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with EWS’s safety policies and procedures across all assigned job sites
  • Ensure adherence to client-specific safety policies, contractual safety requirements, and union contractor rules when applicable
  • Travel to and provide on-site ES&H support for projects located throughout Wyoming
  • Conduct daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) discussions, safety meetings, and training as needed
  • Serve as the primary on-site safety representative for both short-term and extended project assignments
  • Provide, inspect, and demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE); ensure such PPE meets ANSI, client, and union standards as applicable
  • Operate air monitoring equipment and determine accurate results for field operations
  • Ensure all areas under their control meet required standards set forth by company policy, client requirements, OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Coordinate directly with client representatives, union safety personnel (when applicable), project managers, and field supervisors to ensure consistent compliance
  • Conduct incident investigations and regular Safety, Health, and Environmental inspections; report findings and ensure deficiencies are corrected in a timely manner
  • Identify, recommend, and ensure employees receive appropriate training consistent with company, client, and union requirements
  • Develop, write, and implement site‑specific health and safety plans in accordance with contractual and regulatory obligations
  • Maintain accurate documentation while working remotely and in the field
  • Other related duties as assigned
Required

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local Environmental, Safety, and Health regulations, including OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and applicable state programs.
  • Understanding of client-driven compliance requirements and the ability to work within union contractor environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret, apply, and enforce safety regulations, company policies, and client-specific requirements in active field environments.
  • Proficiency in conducting Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), hazard assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits, with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Ability to effectively deliver safety training, lead safety meetings, and communicate expectations to employees, supervisors, and clients.
  • Skilled in the proper selection, inspection, use, and enforcement of personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with ANSI and client standards.
