Environmental Field Technician

Job Overview

The compensation range for this role is $20 to $24/hr, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

• Assist in coordinating and navigating to various facilities with maps and GPS.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment.
• Use various detection and measurement technologies under the supervision of the Team Lead.
• Collect and record emission data.
• Prepare field reports as required.

• Experience in the Oil and Gas industry (preference for candidates with natural gas processing/transmission facility experience).
• Effective computer skills (Excel and Microsoft Office essential) and proficiency with Android OS.
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts (days only).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preference for an associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or an applicable technical degree/diploma.
• Related work experience in hydrocarbon detection and measurement, LDAR, instrumentation or stack emission testing, or a mechanical background is preferred but not required.

• Ability to walk and/or stand while handling/carrying various technical equipment for extended periods of time.
• Comfortable occasionally working at heights in a safe manner.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted.
• Comfortable working outside in all-weather elements.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
