In the role of Real Estate Services Specialist, we'll count on you to:
* Provide pre-negotiation project, parcel and property owner due diligence and non-complex negotiations for acquisition of rights relative to public or private projects as assigned
* Review appraisals and research comparable properties, prepare Market Analysis and Waiver Valuations following the Federal and State guidelines as applicable
* Verify ownership and the extent of interests; prepare offer packages; and maintain complete and detailed records/files with owner contacts, agency representatives, project team
* Prepare non-survey quality maps, drawings, exhibits and detailed progress reports to provide to owners and clients to aid in the Agent's negotiations
* Communicate effectively with internal and external clients
* Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills
* Experience with federal, state and local agencies, private industry and landowners to facilitate the acquisition of necessary right of way for public projects
* Knowledgeable in title research and utility acquisition practices for permanent and temporary easements
* Be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Experienced with relational databases and agreement documentation
* Conduct research and navigate the Internet
* Read, review and quality check engineering project plans and legal descriptions
* Draft various types of real estate documents, such as but not limited to deeds, easements, leases, and purchase agreements
* Be available for travel (in state and out of state) as needed
Preferred Qualifications
* A minimum of 5 years experience with public agency acquisitions

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and Project
* ARGUS and ECONPAK software a plus
* Ability to write legal descriptions
* Have the knowledge to draft the following types of real estate documents: deed, easement and lease
* Must have experience and procedure using purchase property as an eminent domain purchase
* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
