What You’ll Do:- Receive, review, and process daily locate requests in accordance with one‑call system requirements.
- Reference legal land descriptions to accurately determine pipeline and utility locations.
- Monitor third‑party construction crews to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.
- Visually inspect exposed pipe sections during construction to verify proper handling and protection.
- Maintain marker posts, flags, and other field identification in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with requirements set forth by applicable regulatory agencies.
- Attend industry training to stay current on new technologies and best practices in utility locating.
- Educate contractors, landowners, and the public on the importance of utility location services and pipeline safety.
Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities
- A high school diploma or equivalent with zero to two (0‑2) years of relevant line locating or pipeline‑related experience, including the ability to read legal land descriptions; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of pipeline rights‑of‑way, landowner contracts, and basic pipeline construction, maintenance, and operations.
- Ability to independently assess third‑party contractor compliance and determine authorization to continue construction.
- Proven ability to problem‑solve, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in field documentation and compliance reporting.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre‑employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
