Physical Therapist – Outpatient / Inpatient (Hospital)
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Day Shift
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 40 hours/week | Five 8-hour shifts (approx. 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Pay: $37.72 – $51.67/hour
Job Description OverviewMedix is partnering with a hospital client to identify a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist for a rewarding opportunity at a main hospital campus
. This role provides exposure to both Outpatient and Inpatient physical therapy services and is an excellent opportunity for clinicians —
including new graduates — to gain broad, hands‑on experience in a dynamic hospital setting.
The Physical Therapist will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population, including:
- Deliver direct patient care including evaluations, treatment planning, and implementation of PT interventions in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Treat a wide range of patient populations and diagnoses, including surgical, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and vestibular cases
- Manage a highly variable caseload of approximately 8–20 patients per day
, depending on case complexity - Assess functional status, movement dysfunction, and physical abilities to develop individualized plans of care
- Implement therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, gait training, patient education, and use of specialized equipment
- Continuously evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to meet functional goals
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
- Accurately document all patient care in Epic-based EMR platforms
- Educate patients and families on recovery expectations, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent from an accredited program
- Active and unrestricted Wyoming (WY) Physical Therapist license required (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Ability to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient PT services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safe, effective, and patient-centered care
- Proficiency or familiarity with Epic-based EMR platforms
- Ability to work across multiple patient populations and care settings
