POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe Production Engineer (5–7 years of relevant experience) will oversee production operations, drive performance reporting, and lead small-scale projects from initiation through implementation and startup. The ideal candidate will be hands‑on, analytical, and capable of managing cross‑functional coordination to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This position offers opportunities for professional growth within the production and processing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and support daily production activities to meet targets for safety, quality, and output.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
- Optimize processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to internal stakeholders by collecting, validating, and compiling data from field and plant operations.
- Analyze KPIs and identify trends for throughput, downtime, yield, and cost.
- Recommend and implement data‑driven improvements and projects that may involve presentation of findings and plans to upper management for approval.
- Initiate, plan, and execute small capital or process improvement projects. This includes the development of project scopes, budgets, timelines and overseeing installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Daily interactions with operations, laboratory, maintenance, procurement, contractors, and other stakeholders for operational support and project development and execution.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.
- Use technical skills to train and mentor production operators for consistent execution across all shifts.
- Maintain and improve reporting tools and databases to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Learn and understand the in‑situ recovery process, with the goal of progressing into broader engineering or production roles over time.
- Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field).
- 5–7 years of experience in a production, processing, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with production reporting systems and data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects from concept to startup.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and organizational skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and reporting automation.
- Understanding of databases or data management systems (experience with Power BI, Access, SQL, or GIS a plus).
- Familiarity with control systems is beneficial.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, and walk. Extended periods seated/standing at a desk using keyboard and computer. The position also requires the ability to walk outside on uneven surfaces, bend, stoop, and reach and move throughout a manufacturing process that includes stairs, and ladders. Employee must be able to occasionally lift 25-pounds.
WORKENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to hazards typically associated with a uranium ISR facility which includes the presence of low levels of radioactive materials and radiation, low to moderate noises levels, moving equipment, wet surfaces, process chemicals, uneven ground and facility equipment. The work is generally indoors.

Support roles and responsibilities as described in the Environmental Management System (EMS) and Quality Management System (QMS) and participate in EMS and QMS functions as assigned.
