Position:Prep Plant Technician
The Prep Plant Technician is responsible for safely and cost‑effectively operating and maintaining the receiving, processing and storage of coal at the loadout facilities, as well as shipping a quality product to our customers in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
Essential Functions- Meet the physical demands of the position as described in the Physical Demands Analysis
- Work a 12‑hour rotating shift
- Operate loadout and plant
- Perform plant wash down and maintenance
- Attend team meetings
- Be involved in the team process as demonstrated by having taken team classes, taken on team roles and/or action in progress
- Maintain a safe work environment and practices
- Maintain professional communication with all departments
- Develop relationships conducive to superior performance
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Other tasks as directed
- Comply with Company drug and alcohol policy
- Good safety and work record
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment, equipment and facilities
- Good communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office software
- Ability to understand Plant KPIs and make adjustments to meet them
- Ability to make quality decisions and interact effectively with fellow employees, vendors, and outside regulatory officials
- Self‑directed and motivated
- Handles change constructively
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationship development and can effectively work in a team culture
- Preferred:
Minimum of two years' of previous plant experience - Preferred:
Current MSHA 5000‑23 certification - Preferred:
High school diploma or GED

Employment Type:
Non‑Exempt;
Shift: Rotating Days and Nights
Salary: $33.25 – $38.80 per hour
