Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner

Job Brief

Campbell County Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Walk-in Clinic to support urgent health services in a rural setting.

The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for managing patients’ health conditions and preventing diseases, under the supervision of a physician.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, has excellent communication skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Provide primary care to patients, including physical examinations, disease diagnosis and treatment, and preventive health services.
• Interpret patient information and make critical decisions about needed actions.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to form a high performing medical team.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and explain the results to patients.
• Prescribe medications and provide comprehensive instructions for administration.
• Counsel and educate patients about preventive measures to avoid illness.
• Coordinate patient care or refer patients to appropriate specialists.
• Ensure patient records are kept up to date including test results, immunizations, condition changes, etc.
• Follow all established nursing standards and protocols.

• Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Wyoming;
• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a primary care setting.
• Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
