Job Brief
Campbell County Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Walk-in Clinic to support urgent health services in a rural setting.
The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for managing patients’ health conditions and preventing diseases, under the supervision of a physician.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, has excellent communication skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Provide primary care to patients, including physical examinations, disease diagnosis and treatment, and preventive health services.
- Interpret patient information and make critical decisions about needed actions.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to form a high performing medical team.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and explain the results to patients.
- Prescribe medications and provide comprehensive instructions for administration.
- Counsel and educate patients about preventive measures to avoid illness.
- Coordinate patient care or refer patients to appropriate specialists.
- Ensure patient records are kept up to date including test results, immunizations, condition changes, etc.
- Follow all established nursing standards and protocols.
- Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Wyoming;
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a primary care setting.
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
