American Equipment HR LLC (AmQuip Crane Rental) seeks an experienced Crane Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair mobile and heavy lifting equipment for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. In this field-based role, you'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems, complete safety and load-testing inspections, and support critical lifts. You'll collaborate with operators, project teams, and safety staff, documenting all work to meet regulatory and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair cranes and lifting equipment for industrial and construction clients
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems in the field
  • Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections in line with OSHA and company standards
  • Support critical lift planning with accurate equipment condition assessments
  • Complete load tests, calibrations, and detailed service documentation
  • Collaborate with operators, project managers, and safety teams to minimize downtime
  • Respond to emergency service calls and prioritize work to meet project schedules
  • Maintain tools, service vehicles, and parts inventory in a safe, organized manner
  • Follow all site-specific safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental guidelines
  • Participate in ongoing technical and safety training to stay current on equipment and regulations
